The Coastal Children’s Museum, formerly known as The Midcoast Children’s Museum, began in 1985. The original museum closed after two years, but continued as a museum without walls until 2009, when we opened at our current location. 

Bringing exciting programs to schools and community venues 
we have been offering children and families in Knox, Lincoln and Waldo counties education and entertainment for over 20 years. ​

We are always improving, working to make our museum as awesome and up to date as possible!  

We are now thrilled to have our home at 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland, Maine.
